True story: In the 1960's my parents owned a liquor store in St.Paul, Minnesota . A daily customer & her husband didn't wash their hair in the winter months, she thought it would make them get sick easier. She had long hair she wore in an up-do & just used hair spray. He just kept adding more Top Brass hair gel. In the spring when she went to wash her hair, the minute the water hit it, it hardened into a cement shell. She tried conditioner, hot oil treatments & nothing worked to soften the hair. She eventually had to visit the beauty salon next to dads store & all they could do was BARELY work the scissors ✂️ under this dome of hair to snip away at her good hair to loosen it from the hardened part. She ended up with hair about an inch long, if that, & bought a wig! The salon owner told my dad that he threw everything into the incinerator that touched that woman. ( btw.. she was a nurse, and drank 3 bottles of Boones Farm Strawberry Hill a DAY).😆🤔
