Killing the Goose 🪿 that lays the Golden Chips does not one any good! China would have to kill many people of Chinese Decent and destroy much of the infrastructure to take control. Much of the monies would be transfered out of the country. I am sure Taiwan 🇹🇼 has a plan to get any Gold or Importand Documents out of the country or to destroy them. China 🇨🇳 would end up with a hollow shell 🐚 once it completes the invasion. Then China would face insurrection of the populace. It could get ugly.
