I remember the first time I went to raging waters. I was a staff member of a youth program for child care. I took care of 12-15 yo. I was 17. so we got on a ride if you want to call it that more like death ready to happen and saw how the kids I was taking care of launched themselves off like if we weren't 500 feet up. when I saw them reach the bottom they were all smiles except for some mean leg burns cause your shorts would just get all up in there. I wasn't going to let them out do me. so I launched myself also. The scariest thing Ive done my whole life. as soon as your off your not touching anything just free falling. I kinda panic but remembered what the life guard said don't move and keep your arms and legs crossed. 3 sec later which felt like 30 min for a split second touched the slide then found myself sliding towards the pool below. never doing that again ....no matter if you offer me a million dollars.....
