that dog looks very healthy but afraid. not certain why it would have been abandoned. so glad it was rescued. did you notice that the trooper presented the back of his hand for the dog to smell? that's the way to do it. if the dog would have bitten him there is little to hang on to. present the palm of your hand and there is a lot of flesh for the dog to hang on to. would be great to know what eventually happened to the dog.
