My grandmother always had one on hand because I had scratch all over Bike 🚲 ride, tree climbing, go fishing and crazy stuff that we kids in the 70 did all the time. I’m 73 and kids today are no match to us.

Good old mercurochrome. The cure all for all cuts scrapes and abrasions. Nothing better except maybe methiolate or iodine if it got really bad. That stuff burned so bad you forgot you were hurt. 🙃🤣

I know this stuff works very well I'm 62 when I was around 9 my uncle had a horse farm he was out in his barn feeding his horses I walked out there he asked me what's wrong I told him my throat hurts real bad he had a old fridge out in his barn he kept meds in for his horses one of those meds was a bottle just like this one anyway he told me to sit down on that bail of hay he then took a old stick then he ripped a piece of a burlap sake he had in the barn and rapped it around the stick soaked it down with that red nasty shit then he swab my throat out with that old dusty burlap and that duty stick a hour later sore throat was completely gone I no longer had any fever. in fact I got to go swimming that day down in the pond with my cousins. so I know that stuff works.
My parents call it monkey blood. Today's iodine is a brown colored. Maybe it works so well , because it probably had the color additive. That they used to do for a red M&Ms and the original Big Red that they found cause cancer in people. and stop using it. My father swears red and M&Ms and Big Red have not been the same. Shout out to my father Ben born 1944!

My grandmother put that stuff on me and I ran to her white couch and jumped on it. She was pissed. But she loved me too much to bitch about it. But she did get a new couch from my grandfather the next day.
