okay this might be way the hell off topic but you know that same iodine and mercuricome mom and dad used to put on us. that's what the methods are making methamphetamine out of these days LOL which one of them burned I know there was two of them iodine and mercuricome one of them burnt like hell
Good old mercurochrome. The cure all for all cuts scrapes and abrasions. Nothing better except maybe methiolate or iodine if it got really bad. That stuff burned so bad you forgot you were hurt. 🙃🤣

My family did horse absorbine. No Jr. about it.
My mom DID. I nearly severed one of my toes when I was 5 years old. It was still attached to my foot by only 1/8th of an inch of skin. My dad held me down as my mom cleaned the wound, then doused it in mecuricrome. She then used DUCT TAPE to hold the toe in place. She dressed the wound 3 times a day with that awful stuff, but didn't remove the tape more than once a week. NEVER went to a doctor for it! I'm an old woman now. I still have that toe, believe it or not. It doesn't feel well or work well, mind you, but the toe somehow, against EVERY odd, survived... WILD...😳

My grandmother always had one on hand because I had scratch all over Bike 🚲 ride, tree climbing, go fishing and crazy stuff that we kids in the 70 did all the time. I’m 73 and kids today are no match to us.

One time our family went to Huntington Beach in '76 or '77 for the 4th of July it was an all day through the night I met a bestfriend for the whole time we were there and how we met was my sister told me that a girl was laughing at me everytime I got up to play Frisbee or catch football i noticed her so I threw the football to her and when she got up to throw it back was when I noticed she had the same red stained knees and elbows as I had from mom putting iodine on me. I was 10 or 11 years old and we hung out all day till the fireworks set off at night It never occurred to me that I will never see her again I didn't think to ask her parents if I could have her phone number.
