Why ruin beautiful slabs by charring them?!

That'd be much more attractive using natural wood without the charring.

there is a technique where you can raise the grain by a little bit of heat it would look a lot more attractive than burnt wood that looks stupid as all hell

It's art and while we are all entitled to having our on tastes. I get it i see shes trying to capture fire and the middle of that wood wouldnt be that burnt with out the outside being chared. The resin if the person earlier was correct for the 350 price of the resi. and the wood was probably more than that so she has probably a grand in the table top then you have to make a base so thats another few hundred so 1300 dollars in it. I bet if she found the right customer she could probably get 2500 for it. Not from me but from someone. I think it looks good.

Do you know how much the resin costs? That’s probably $350.
