Awesome!!!!! I’ve been wondering how I can put coins on a candle and now I know!! Thank you for sharing this!! As the saying goes “you learn something new everyday” and for me, today I learned how to put coins on a candle and light it but not have it stay lit. You’re the best!!!! I think the intention is to show us that the three coins made of metal surrounding the wick of the candle will not allow it to light or stay burning without an external source of fuel above the coins🤔🤔, the metal wicks away the heat so fast the wick won't even burn

Thanks, very interesting that this happens. This would be great set up as an experiment where you do what you just did, then have students surmise why the candle won't light. First, unlike many here, they have to recognize the candle won't light, lol.
