I never understood why parachutes on casual flight planes is not a vastly applied thing We got seat belts and air bags and helmets and suits and rescue teams for vehicles on land We got life jackets and life rafts and suits and other saftey gear and again rescue teams for vehicles on water but with a plane ... sure no way for a rescue team. but why nothing else aside an almost useless seatbelt to chain you to your most likely death. ive heard of some "reasons" but they dont seem valid or smart enough to dis regard bringing/having parachutes on any plane.
I worked with a friend who was on that flight.. He had saved 3 weeks of vacation just to take this trip.. Sad .. I think it took rescuers 2 or 3 years to go in and pull out bodies.. RIP Carl....
So if everyone was killed, and they crashed in Antarctica, who found the video?
