There was a 3rd angle as well. There was a woman on the passenger side confronting and taunting the ICE Agent. And as soon as the ICE Agent was in front of the vehicle, that woman called out ,"Drive drive drive". In my opinion, this 2nd woman should be charged as well for insighting the vehicle assault.
She purposely and willingly intended to hit and destroy the ICE agent So she deserved her punishment.

She should not have been there doing what she was doing. She put herself in danger of arrest. when the told her to get out of the car and she floored it, she was now resisting with violence. When she hit the officer, it was assault with a deadly weapon. This ICE officer had been run down by a car a few months earlier and had been injured, receiving 30+ stitches. If it had been another officer they might not have fired at her but because of his highten awareness he reacted to fire. It's sad the so many factors played out in this tragedy to this outcome.

1.Officers are not supposed to step in front of vehicles because they can be run over 2. This officer knew that because he has previously been investigated with his whole unit because they used this tactic as a way to manipulate drivers to hit or appear to hit them so they can use deadly force. Look it up, that is where the rule comes from
There's a better clip of this from the front view, where she clearly pressed the gas peddle while there was an agent directly in front of her truck... you cannot even see that agent in any of the other clips I've seen. Plus the woman that she was with was being very disrespectful talking pretty crazy to the officers as well. So she definitely knew who they were, and what was going on! She wasn't scared and just trying to flee the danger zone as I originally had thought. I don't feel like she deserved to be shot in the face repeatedly, however it is our responsibility to abide by the law and keep a level head to ultimately ensure our safety when we are in high tension/heated situations with authority figures.
