Sometimes when I pay cash, I say here let me give you the change so you can give me a dollar bill back or a five dollar bill back, lol ,but they could just punch it in and it’ll tell them how much change to get back, but this is funny,and sad at the same time.

OMG. Have seen that look on so many cashier faces. That’s the reason McDonald’s started putting food/drink pictures on the registers. I will say that since registers now do all the computations, that far-off glazed-over look is less frequent.
it is a shame they do not teach real math in school no more. I can only tell the cashier how much give me back before the machine does and it's really sad a lot of them don't really know how to count money

Oh my God I did that the other day I was supposed to get a five dollar back after I gave them the change and they couldn’t have been more messed up. I had to return everything and start over and just let them do what the computer said it was like they were from Planet Oz. What I have THINK ON MY OWN….. blasphemy
