Yeah, gently push it away with about 5 blasts of a 12 Guage because giant snakes are known to be fond of loud noises. And turning your head gives it a clear path to your jugular. Then smoking some of Colorado's best may help with anxiety.
I had a Water Mocason slither next to me while I was posing for pictures for my grandmother and she yelled for me to get out. I knew if I moved I was screwed. When he was gone I then calmly walked off. He was within a foot of my hip.😬 never move when you see a snake near you.

Some snakes have good vision. Some are visual hunters. A good example of this are tree snakes, Boomslang and the Elapidae family like King Cobras. Mama's are also visual hunters.
