I did Uber eats & got a text from the driver saying, "i picked up your food, I'll deliver it once you tip more" I text back with, "I tipped $5 on a $5 drink. I'm not tipping more & no longer want my drink. I'm glad you picked it up, enjoy it cause NOW that drink is your tip!" I've waited tables & been a bartender for over 20 years, I've never asked for a tip! the balls on people today blows my mind🤯💯

Why do they expect you to pre-tip. Doesn't the tip come after the job is done? The tip is based on the job you actually do. If you show up with food missing, cold, late, etc. It reflects on your tip.

I don't blame him. This is a privilege that started because of covid. You didn't have to drive anywhere. You didn't have to get dressed. You didn't spend your gas. People feel entitled like they did something to deserve a person using their time and money to bring your lazy behind food. No, the places are not going to pay them more. Stop mentioning that. Think about what someone did for you so you didn't have to even leave the house. Be appreciative! A few dollars is what you would have spent going to get the food yourself.

I put in the comments to hand me my food and you will get a tip. If the food is not in my hands; you won't get a tip. I typically tip cash. If they don't have change; I'll tip them in the app. But, I'm not tipping you for a service; not even completed. That's like giving the server a tip before they even introduce themselves. SYBAU.
anyone that’s doing uber eats or DoorDashing deserves to be tip and I say that to say this people do not have to leave there homes in 90 degree heat or below freezing temperatures to deliver anything and the fact everyone should be extra cautious with people handling there food especially if it’s not being cooked in your kitchen💯 I tip so I will continue to do so!

The food is higher, plus some charge delivery and a service fee, I understand that’s how the keep the app and drivers paid but sometimes ppl don’t have the tip to give after that, so ask company to lower there fees and food prices. Subway want $16 for a sub then fees that’s almost $22, then they give you a $4 tip, that’s $26 for a sub Drivers should be more understanding and at least realize a job was created where you being in need of, where you can work your own hours plus it’s simple to do

He needs to chill out! I always tip my drivers upon delivery. 1) The gratuity is based upon your service. Service isn't rendered until the delivery is made. 2) It's instant cash in you pocket that cannot be traced. Therefore, you don't have to claim it. I'm doing you a favor! I would've opened that door and hollered after him waving cash, only to put it back in my pocket when he turned around. Bet he drops the attitude after that.
I work for doordash part-time. I've only been doing it about 3 weeks but I probably won't be able to do it much longer because of my back and hips. I'm 68. I recently moved back to North Carolina so I'm leaving the family members and I need my own place so I have to work for extra money. NO WAY WOULD I BE MEAN OR DO SOMETHING TO SOMEONE'S FOOD. SOMETIMES I TIP MORE IT JUST DEPENDS ON MY FINANCES AT THE TIME. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THEY TIP ME I'M STILL GOING TO BE NICE TO THEM. I'M GRATEFUL FOR WHATEVER I GET

I ordered a $14 combo the other day and tipped $12. I was really in no mood to drive myself. I ordered a gyro combo and put in special directions no tomato, no lettuce sauce on the side Mountain Dew cause last time they put a half cup of sauce on my sandwich. Instead I got no sauce at all and a coke. I called and they offered to correct it if I came to get it. So mad I tipped extra for nothing so I vowed to never use Uber eats again. I was so mad I wasn’t even hungry anymore.
