What is he using to turn it off/on? This is brilliant but I’m missing that step 🤔

Where do you get a lightbulb socket that’ll fit in the head of a jar cap?

should put something between the lid and the wood pole so water doesn't get inside, maybe some silicon

He should have used a rubber membrane between the lid and post and caulk or other seal between the wire and the lid to further waterproof it. I'm not worried about heat because it looks like an LED bulb, so it runs cool. Most likely the light switch is indoors, where the power is coming from. No idea what kind (if any) waterproof conduit he is using between the post and the power source. Hopefully it isn't just bare cable on the ground.

Oh God! My life is a safety coordinator, behoove me. Did anyone say Gromit?🤨 Just so that sharp can lid doesn’t cut into the casing of the wire.
