Didn't the U.S. go in as observers and advisors in 1955. In March of 1965 Marines landed in Vietnam to defend a airbase from attact. Thus the start of our involvement of boots on the ground in Vietnam. The French told us we could never win in Vietnam. we should have fucking listen to them. They were there almost a century. RIP Valiant Warriors who gave all. . .
My husband was sprayed with Agent Orange that dried on him because he couldn’t stop to put clean clothes especially socks on. Then he came home on a plane while everyone put him down and he was spit on too by the American people. He came home with jungle rot on his feet caused by being sprayed and his feet always wet. After years of X-rays test doctor appointments trips to Winston Salem and other places he got 100% disability he died 4 months later. So traps terrain rot and very dangerous fighting finally took his life. He also had to crawl down holes in the ground to hunt for the enemy there’s no telling what germs and viruses was in that dirt. He had nightmares he’d wake me up karate chopping me across my face no wonder he came home smoking like a stove pipe and drinking liquor like a camel. And these Americans treating him like he was a traitor to the country. I’m gonna tell his story every chance I get. (Thank you my love for your service I won’t forget I promise.)

It was a war we could easily have won. There was no full scale engagement. Who ever heard of a war with a DMZ? Limited funding? Limited troop deployment? Restricted engagement. Troops thrust into a combat where you’re not allowed to advance, but placed in a restricted defense posture. The conflict should never have started. The vote should have been allowed, and the results of the vote, accepted.
The Democrats have got us into 12 wars, the republicans have got us out of most. Look it up.

Our poor Vietnam vets. When God is sorting them out, He's not going to blame the Vietnam army for all those murderous contraptions. He's going to blame everyone in Washington who had a hand in starting and continuing that atrocious war. It never should've happened. We never should've been there. We were never meant to "win" that war, just fight it. It was an unrighteous war, meaning God wasn't in it. And He's not going to blame the soldiers, on either side. He's going to blame the suits who profited from it. Same goes for George W. Bush and the Iraq war. Same reasons.

I HATE the government! My dad fought in Vietnam that messed him up! To know you can lose your life at any min, watch your friends get killed, and your just a number the usa government is why I never joined. The military did my dad wrong and he died with nothing. Agent orange was sprayed over Vietnam and majority of the soldiers were black. They government intentionally did it exposing blacks and some whites to that bs. HELL NO I'LL NEVER GO FIGHT FOR A COUNTRY THAT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS OWN PEOPLE.!

No the way the Vietcong thought was if they injured a soldier it takes time to treat him & also slows down the platoon on a mission one wounded soldier took two soldiers to carry on a stretcher giving the Vietcong time to catch up & surround the unit with to eliminate them on the battle field now imagine having multiple injured soldiers in the same platoon the medic in many cases was overwhelmed with injured personnel at the same time !!
