my sheppard and my rat terrier n i were playing and I swatted the rats behind just playing then I swatted the sheppards and she yelled and talked to me like hey I didn't do nothing to deserve a smack and I told her its not a spank its fun. so I had to prove it to her because she thought I hit her, when in fact I did but i didn't hit hard it was a play smack. finally she got it but she let me have it thinking I hit her. she never got hit, you never hit a sheppard spanking doesn't work on them. no one should ever hit their dogs, but especially a sheppard they will never trust you if you do that.
