When I was fishing on the Kenai River for salmon these knuckleheads would fly their private planes over. Duct tape on wings and windows. Stuttering puttering engines. Yup Crazy. 👍
Watched a Bush pilot in Kotzebue do that with my hunting partner on board. We had to hold the tail as long as possible and we were standing in water.

The plane must have been fully loaded for an expedition. I’ve seen bush plane competitions where they lift off within 10’ and appear to leap into the air. That’s why they can land and take off on the sides of mountains.

that is a Kodiak plane it can take off in under 80 yards if want. shocks and spungie tires help it land on ruff terrain. my favorite plane
