I like black rice. I don’t soak, just give it a good long rinse so it’s not gummy. It’s delicious. And dramatic looking on the plate. It’s also loaded with antioxidants. I have substituted it in a gumbo. Yum!

I love black since discovering it 10 years ago in a Chinese dish. I looked up the history of black rice and only royals were allowed to eat it hundreds of years ago.
I love rice and black beans. Soak the beans overnight and season and cook them. Then put your rice in. Don’t throw out the water from the beans. That’s what makes it black. I did that the first time I made it. 😆
