HA, my Dad told me, when I was 9 or 10, that politicians underfunded schools because an educated population is harder to manipulate & control.🤔 My Dad was correct. He also taught me alot about the Civil War & all the reasons for it happening. At the end of the war, the losers promised the winners the South would rise again & win the next war. As yrs went by & the Evangelical 'church' moved Northward, Dad warned me that they were the forward guard for the 2nd Civil War. And here we are.

That is very true, go back to the days of slavery, education was not offered to those kept as slaves. Slave owners thought if they withheld knowledge from slaves they could better control them. Knowledge is power and the lack of knowledge is reliance on others.

Amen. Had 43 smears in with a masters and my Salary was $68,000.00 yearly, with a 3% raise per year. Retired, and Texas Teachers were blocked from receiving Social Security for all those early years trying to make $7,200.00 per year enough. If you had less that 40 quarters, you lost all the rest of your money we were coerced into paying into Social Security. The government kept it.

I would be sympathetic but for the unfair way public schools in Ohio are funded. Property taxes need to be stopped. All citizens should be taxed for schools and local services .
