I 62 yrs. I only get old rescues now. But I wish I was younger. There are sooooo many amazing dogs that need homes. I’d get one if these and one of those and then one of those and that one. Dogs are the sugar in life.
I lost my Boarder Collie this year and I miss her dearly.They are an incredible intelligent breed of dog.

animals are so much better than people...we have two cats that had mother's that were discarded ...one was born with both her eye lids seals and was found tiny and starving to death...the other was found with her birth sister...only two kittens still alive...she lost her eyes by 10 wks to save her life...the vision impaired has taught the blind adopted sister how to be naughty like a real cat... humans have lil regard for other humans that are disabled...yet time and time again animals show each other love and friendship by means of helping their disadvantaged friends. we humans should could take a lesson in kindness from animals 💕

We got 2 Weiner dogs, brother and sister at 9 mos. old. Had them 1 mo before we knew the female was deaf. Our male would fetch her, and always make sure she was safe.

mom's cat brought home another younger male cat. It was blind and Sam looked after him constantly. Led him to eat, go out, to available laps and then hid him in a safe place to sleep at night. They were inseparable. The vet diagnosed a brain tumor but Smokey lived over a year. Sam was a long time getting over the loss.
Several years ago, I had 2 dogs. One was a large Shepard mix and the other was a Llasa Apso. The older, bigger one was going blind and started having trouble staying on the sidewalks and trails when we went for walks. The little one started walking in a way to keep the big guy on track. It was just something he started doing. We could also see similar things when they were in the yard together.
