take it apart a little at a time, start at the top first remove the brush and then the wood
the ones who drop trees just wherever are amateurs who don't know what they are doing. Until they learn they shouldn't be cutting trees.
there is no right or wrong way to cut down a tree its going to fall where it wants to especially if top heavy it can twist around and fall opposite directions
