🚨 THEY SHOOTING!!! THEY SHOOTING!!🚨 Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Friday morning at The VIP Club in Cahokia Heights. Authorities say at least one person may have been shot inside the nightclub in the 4700 block of Bond Avenue. A witness inside the club reported seeing a woman taken out on a stretcher and believes multiple people may have been injured. The severity of injuries and whether any suspects are in custody remain unclear. Multiple agencies responded around 1:30 a.m., including Cahokia Heights, Sauget, Fairmont City police, and Illinois State Police. Officers were seen securing and searching the parking lot as people fled the area, with some officers carrying long guns. As many as 56 evidence markers were spotted in the parking lot. Witnesses said the altercation may have started outside before moving into the club. At least one victim may have left the scene in a personal vehicle, and an ambulance was also seen leaving. Illinois State Police forensic teams are assisting with the investigation. More details to come as information becomes available. #CC for footage Video: M. McCoy
