Plenty of ex-Marines out there. They took the job, put in their time, and didn't like the job enough to re-up and make a career out of it. The "Once a Marine, always a Marine" slogan is made to give the guys a sense of unity. Indoctrination at it's best. It works on some, others see it as only a job they used to have. Some guys learn to hate the Military and count the days until their discharge and never want to be reminded of their time in the service.
