ok. the spike strip needs to be long enough to cross the ENTIRE width of the street. one deputy holds onto one end, while another deputy RUNS across the street with the other end so that the strip spans the ENTIRE width of the street.

Very, very few chases justify the use of spike strips to begin with. They should never be used in a chase of someone running from a moving violation, it's simply not justifiable. When someone is running, and couple that with the negative mental traits present in nearly all law enforcement, they take it as a personal attack on themselves, and leads to too many unsafe actions.

Excellent I played stoped in soccer. stoppers are full backs who try to make an opponent struggle The sweeper makes the steal. Spike stop did urz job! Made the suspect swerve and loose control forcing them into a turn. Police swarmed!

The strip as deployed limited the options of the fleeing perpetrator, forcing him into a parking lot where the police have a much better chance of bringing him under control. I would say “Job well done.” If your intention is to laugh at the police, then you failed.
That cop sucks. Could have used pit right there and stopped it. Would have been a perfect maneuver timing with that spin out.
