When I was a sophomore in high school, I purposely avoided Mrs Mann, the sophomore English teacher. She had been a drill sergeant in the army and we all heard how tough she was. The first day of school, she walked into my English class. She gave the teacher a piece of paper and they waved me over. I was being transferred to Mrs Mann. Best English teacher i ever had .
