My kids and I were riding down the road one afternoon, radio up loud and singing our hearts out together when I was pulled over and surrounded by 4 marked cars. I had no idea wth was happening. Turns out an off duty officer passed us as I was taking a drink from a 16oz Pepsi and he thought it was a Bud light! I let them do their search, we all had a good laugh and then I thanked them for caring that much about my kids. Two of those kids are now adults and police officers themselves. Thank you to the men and women who do this job everyday!!!!
I had a cop pull me over and have me exit my vehicle. I promptly locked it when I got out, but he claimed he saw drugs in there. I told him to get a court order to search it. They brought the dog and he didn’t hit on anything.
I cannot even imagine waking up in the morning , with full intentions of going out and harassing people trying to screw their life up.
Maybe the cop was thinking Vodka and saw the bottle ??
let's just say an officer sees someone driving takes a drink but cant really tell what theyre drinking so he assumes its not alcohol and doesnt stop them- 5 miles up then road he sees same vehicle involved in a head on collision and the only survivor is the driver thevofficer saw taking a drink of something. Officer calls for EMS and backup so an investigation can start. The at fault driver was above the legal limit. Victims in the car the drunk hit are a husband, wife and their two children all wearing seat belts. Should officer have stopped the person he saw taking a drink or just assume it was a Pepsi?
Cops are good people and don't go out of their way to hurt people, just enforce laws. People that hate and resist law enforcement are idiots that should be jailed.

Sorry, Cops are not your friend! They are a revenue collection agency. Their primary job is to write tickets and raise revenue thru fines. They can no longer stop crimes, but they spend lots of time writing reports! Do not ever engage in "friendly" conversation with a cop that stops you, since the Supreme Court has affirmed they can lie to get you to incriminate yourself, which they are trained to do! You cannot win!

Officer you opened the door. Nothing was there. Conducting a search now is a 4th Amendment violation in this situation. So nothing you find in your search is usable and you will lose your immunity for conducting an illegal search.
