When my daughter wears her hair naturally curly, it’s up to her shoulders. When it is wet or when she flat irons it, it is down to her waist! She is a white passing Puerto Rican. I can’t tell you how many times white ladies come up to her and ask her, WHY would she ruined her hair with such an aggressive perm when she wears it naturally. And many try to touch it. The fact that white people think that it is acceptable to question, criticize, and touch other people‘s hair is beyond disrespectful and uncivilized bigotry!
