Oh yes, he should be held responsible for his actions. As a 16 year old his actions were those of a bully & unacceptable. He thinks he will get off because of his youth. The problem began with an over indulging parent. His mother should shut up & sit down, she produced that coward. He not only destroyed the life of the girl but that of her whole family & friend. Life in prison is too good for him. Why should taxpayers have to maintain his life when he stole hers.

our prisons currently force the taxpayers to "pay for the crimes", instead of the criminal, who lives a relative life of luxury for free, inside the prison walls. until that changes, when it comes to criminals, bullets are fiscally responsible, and the recidivism rate for criminals returning to a life of crime versus incarceration is much lower, when those bullets are used properly. just sayin.
