Honestly, he worked so hard on that and was so proud of himself, I'd get rid of the furniture and fix the floor but it's leave it painted just like that and get matching decor and leave it to proudly display for him! but explain that he has to ask before he makes changes to the house.
None of this is funny furniture ruined, floors ruined and yes I have a child with a disability and no this would not be celebrated not even a little bit.

It is beautiful Paint is cheap so is a loveseat floor can be varnished. DAMIEN had the time of his life and he thinks it’s beautiful and whoever walked in on him thinks he is beautiful enough said I don’t have children I’m gay, but I do know this both of humans and with animals confidence is built and nurtured to play DAMIEN is fortunate he felt he could let loose and play and be himself and be creative, and it sounds like the nurturing foundation is fostered by the voice, we’re here with the face. We did not see. DAMIEN‘s right it is beautiful. In case anyone is wondering this is what love looks like.
Did any of you stop to think this could, just possibly, be HIS sensory room and that is why she can, or is able, to laugh about it??? There is so much hatred in this world it is disgusting!!! I, myself, am grateful and blessed for being given my exceptional children!!!! It is NOT an easy path to walk, especially after becoming a single-widowed Momma. All children deserve love, compassion, and understanding. I am willing to bet that those of you who are so hateful didn't get that as a child, and your true colors are showing. You have to choose to break the cycle and learn what genuine love is!!! Bless y'all!!!

I’m glad she didn’t yell at him. He should not have been left alone that long. Some people with Down’s syndrome don’t need as much supervision but this poor fellow definitely needs someone there with him.

It’s her fault why this happened if he was being watched this would’ve never happened. Why was he alone for that long at a time in order to do this that’s neglect on a disabled child.
WWJD ..........Jesus would want his caregiver to look at it as a learning experience. Yes it is pretty but, it isn't the normal. No need to chastise but need to explain reasons why he can't do it again. Praise him for expressing himself but teach him to channel it to paper or maybe outside on the side of an old building or piece of wood. Definitely please please don't make him feel bad about what he did. Remember his brain does not function like yours, God made him that way for a reason. There is no way possible I could be mad at him if this were me! Just the pure joy in his voice asking if he did a great job and how he did it for her. That there would have been enough to just melt me! I have an autistic child and when he drew on the wall I didn't punish him I went and got a frame and glued it around it! He was so proud and it looked so good I didn't want him to be discouraged! He never drew on the wall again not sure why but later on when he got older he thanked me for not punishing him. Material things can be replaced but the love from your children isn't replaceable 💕💕💕
Not funny, I may have laughed a lil bc i wouldn't want to cuss out someone like him...But we would sit down have a talk...and he would be the one paying out of his check every month to get everything replaced and back to how it's supposed to be. Even ppl.with disabilities knows right from wrong and what can and cannot do
I see a few different scenarios: A house flip that has probably yucky furnitue and disgarded items from previous owner left behind, that are going to get tossed anyway. It is going to be gutted, so Why Not let your Special Person use up the paint left behind to release his Artistic Joy. The video was made for fun. or Someone left a Special Needs Person unattended way too long, and now is going with the flow to deal with their own neglect. Consequences for their own actions.
