My husband was 58 when our 1st child was born. I was 22. We had 4 children. When the 4th one was born, he was 66, and I was 30. When he passed, he was 75, and I was 40. We were married 21 years. Now I am 66, and my husband is 58. We have 6 children between us and 23 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

My mom was fifteen and my dad was twenty eight. Back then, if you had parental permission, it was passable... and her dad was a circuit court judge. My dad was just out of the Navy, where he was stationed aboard the Bon Homme Richard, the aircraft carrier. Mom's dad respected that, as well as the purple heart and honorable discharge. I was hoping to get my dad's commendations and medals for a framed display along with the folded flag from his funeral, but my uncle got ahold of the purple heart; he probably sold it, because if you have no morals, actual medals can go for high prices, and he's extremely greedy. So I'll have to wait until I have the cash to buy replicas and order his discharge papers again and match up his recorded issued medals and corresponding ribbons for his display. I can always make the flag / obituary display and add the commendation section later. But yeah, big age gap.
