I was born in Puerto Rico, we bring the hose in to clean our house, walls too. Soap & clorox then slip & slid, scrub the floors then squeegee. We also have metal windows with the screens. We take them down & wash'em. When everything is clean We just lay on the floor, admiring how clean the house is.

lol They clean the floors like that overseas where I am but, but, they have drain around the villas. flats and apartments. Soapy water goes down and a squeegee is used to push it down the drain

It’s called the Mexican style of mopping, though. I do not support that it’s on wood floors. It is a style of mopping Mexicans in the Valley. They use that method as they push it out through one side of the house, and move it throughout the other side, but their houses are made out of concrete in brick.
