I was in Turkey when the news reported that a young woman and her boyfriend were stoned to death. She apparently “disrespected” her parents by wanting to marry the man she loved and not the one they chose for her as a child. Both were buried in the sand up to their necks then stoned to death. The father threw the first rock. I was so upset I felt sick. I was told the Kurds still practice this but am sure others do also. We Americans do not hear about these things and how often it occurs.
No feminist would choose this.
