I want to know why the bus is stopping here?
Because children's lives are put in danger. People could just care less these days. People used to stop out of care concern and respect for others. That part of life we had growing up is dissappearing.
many people don't realize the STOP sign on the bus is 2 sided for a reason. following AND oncoming traffic must stop.

they may be able to stop wherever they want to. it they must be discharging children to deploy their stop sign and with this being obviously in a business district along with the fact they had two officers at each end of that parking lot this is an obvious case of entrapment which is a violation of your rights not only on a state level but a federal level no matter which state you reside in !!
Were the bus lights on ? Was the school bus sign out saying to stop ? If so then it’s a mandatory STOP.

i watch people drive by the school bus with his flashing reds on an stop sign deployed an no a cop in sight. an the cop shop is around the corner. but Escondido pd couldn't catch s bad guy if he kicked em in the balls and the cops don't know how to operate a turn signal either...

I was nearly rear-ended stopping for a school bus. At least 4 cars went thru before i stopped. Wish there had been a squad car nearby.

I drove 30 yrs ago and local law enforcement wouldn't enforce the rules for me. I could get the plate number and likely the driver identity.The law hasn't changed. Lives were endangered then too! The children saw no enforcement then so they ignore it now. Veteran school bus driver!
