It's a meringue type of candy. The main ingredients are egg whites, corn syrup, and sugar. The corn syrup makes it chewy. You can add any kind of nuts, You can add cherries, or just about anything else you like as long as it's not wet.
My Mom used to make it every Christmas. I don't remember her putting nuts in it. She said the weather had a lot to do with how good it turned out.💕💕
