I'm homeless with my dog she got me sober been sober almost two years now, I don't have a driver license so I save 1400 dollars to get a good e bike I could haul my dog and tools from people that saw me trying, you can't just help someone and expect them to be in the mindset to give you the appreciation you want, take responsibility and decide to help someone thats going to use it, I made the money for the bike in 2 months no sign just there with my dog and good energy to everyone and I never ask anyone, people talk to me and decide to help when they see I'm someone that will use it, Im still homeless but Im not hurting anymore I have everything I need now it's time to work doing my handyman stuff to get what I want
I was in Mesa AZ. Old thin guy had a sign- Homeless and hungry vet. I bought him a whopper meal and drove back to him. he did the same, hope he starves. Never again
I would of gotten out and taken his wheel chair

Luckily the homeless folks around me arent like this. 🙆♂️ I often help several that I see around. MY son grew like a tree and always has cloths and shoes and atuff that he never wore. So I give things to people that I can visually see need them. Never money. I pack meals sometimes with things that are all sealed juat so they have peace of mind that it wasnt meased with. 🤷♂️ I like to give things that they would like but Dont get as well. Sometimes candy. Even tobacco. If they are going to stress not having it and do whatever to get it then ya. like a treat. Soda sometimes. Warm socks, hats. I often give things of dog food, dog Treats, Toys, collar and leash if I notice that have like old or broken stuff. etc for their pets just because. But ya, don't let pricks stop you from being kind. Because 9 times outta 10, it means the world to the people that really do NEED help. 🤷♂️

I gave a homeless man food too and he did the same thing I was upset but I didn't let that stop me from still giving to other people who are very appreciative and needed it
most of the bums in wheel chairs don't need them it's a scam to make money

My friend and I gave a homeless man on a NYC street, 2 bagels that we had leftover. He took the bag, looked inside and handed it back, saying “I don’t eat bagels”! Can you imagine? I never give anything to anyone now.

I seen something that said homeless people don’t always have the necessary amenities to store food like this and that eventually rats get to all the canned/dry goods. They aren’t hungry, they’re just broke. Maybe they need money for a hotel or medication. I’m still not gonna give it to them, but I also won’t automatically assume it’s for drugs.
