My father was at Chosen in the first Marines during the Korean War and woke up when an enemy soldier started to drag his sleeping bag by the straps at his feet and shit him with his M1 Carbine. How many soldiers became prisoners or froze in their sleep in the thirty below snow? If my father hadn’t been so trained after WW2, Korea and the start of Viet Nam I wouldn’t be here with my grown children and grandchildren to pass my father’s stories.
