Why not understand the assignment in the beginning, not only will we stop volunteering for legalized slavery ie prisons we become stronger united. We won't always see eye to eye but if we see ourselves in each other and learn to show compassion and understanding then maybe things won't need to escalate to violence. They psychologically damaged us but it's up to us on if we're gonna stay stuck continuing the cycle or embrace our own individual responsibility for the change that's needed. Trauma comes in many forms and living in it medicating with illicit's whether legal or not isn't the answer finding the root and confronting it head on works for me but we're all different and yet the same because as a black person in America 99% of us have a story to tell lol.
