My oldest nephew just turned 44 and his son, my GREAT-nephew just turned 21. I still see the 44 year old like this. 🥺 His son is still 5 in my head. Being an aunt is my favorite, most enjoyable job EVER.
I have 11 nephews and nieces. Oldest in his 30's I'm in my late 40's. They won't except the fact that I'm that age. Thinking I grew up with them. I say no I'm just that auntie that wanted the best for all y'all. Reason I was always around and all graduated. 7 with career's the others are young with job's still figuring life out. I see this with my son and my sister. he was just a baby now he's 8 and 4'10. my kids dad is 6'8. so they're tall for their age. the way my son and sister play and build their bond. it's like my kids became hers. same thing with my daughter.
