My mother left my father when I was 1 and my sister was 4. We moved into my grandmother’s house and lived with her till we were adults and got married. I miss my Grandie so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The grandma can stay at home longer with her granddaughter living next door. It's a lot easier to check on her and run errands.💕
We did that. Right next to my mother. I should have known better. I dreamed of this fantasy though.

My grandmother passed when I was 13 you are so lucky💕
My kids grew up on the ranch. We still live on the ranch but the kids are married and live within an hour-ish of us. Now, my Dad has been gone for 16 years but Mom lives about a half mile away. I can see her house very easily, still on the ranch. She’s aged knowing that the kids would have great memories of home. Growing up with any parent and/or grandparent nearby is great. I wish my Dad would have grown old, but that didn’t happen. The kids share memories of him nonetheless. I grew up in a rural setting myself. At the time I didn’t recognize it, my Dads parents lived a bit down the road from us. In the other direction, my moms parents. I wore out some bicycles! Great memories!!
My Mamaw never spoke a bad word about anybody even on her deathbed she had a smile and said when it’s your time it’s your time, but boy, I sure am glad I was able to spend so much of it with each and everyone of you and love you as much as I did!🥲
I was blessed growing up as a little girl my grandmother lived on the second block next to us. My brother and sister and I practically lived there. Every day we went to visit her and stayed for dinner and on weekends to keep her company my brother and I would take turns sleeping over. So many beautiful fun memories. I wish we could go back in time.
I lived 2 houses from my momma n daddy. my daughter ❤️ was never away from them. everyday she was at their house until they passed away.

From a grandmothers side I am telling you that this had me ugly crying! My daughter and I live together...kind of! You see she was paralyzed at 35 in an auto accident. So I knew she would need her independence but be close to someone that could help when she needed it so I had a studio apartment built at the back of my house. We are best friends because we go to football games and travel all over together and I know she will miss me when I am gone. Not because I do things for her but because we visit with each other, spend time. Laugh about something silly or cry at something just as silly. She is the wind beneath my wings! She is my hero!
If my grandmother were alive yes I would do this. And have my mother living with my grandmother. To me that would be our joy. 🌸💕🌸🕊️
