Those are Greyhounds or Greyhound crosses referred to as Lurchers. They are used by ranchers all over the world and West of the Ole' Miss here in the states. They are used on coyotes to scale back predation, rabbits & prairie dogs (any critter in a hole) to minimize broken legs on horses, sheep or cattle. Greyhounds are VERY different from other breeds and they metabolize food faster & if you have ever had a dog who needed a blood transfusion, it most likely came from a Greyhound. Their blood is capable of carrying a greater amount of oxygen than other breeds. So be grateful to the (wrongly) "skinny" dogs. They save more lives than you'll ever know 💕
Used to go Coyote hunting when I was a teenager. Greyhounds were an amazing animal. I saw two of them catch a coyote when the coyote had a quarter of a mile head start. They exploded on him. Knocked him down, held him until the killer hound arrived and finished him off. Never saw speed like that.
