Anyone who says this wasn't justified is just a cop hater. Cop had every right to defend himself against the attack, not once but twice. He tried nonlethal to start with, and the dude kicked him and attacked again. More than justified on this one.

As a civilian who carries, I would have been very conflicted about this, I mean is this a situation where I’m in fear of an imminent threat to my life? I dont believe so, in all honesty it simply appears to be a “I’m not gonna fight with you” situation. Please correct me if I’m legally wrong but I’m taking a trip to jail and praying to god the DA / Prosecutor sends me home before trying to defend myself on this one, I’d be nervous as hell as a civilian.
