Many years ago when I was a volunteer firefighter in a rural town, I can remember volunteering to do this for a couple of families in our town. (Fallen firefighters, police, & military) it was our way of helping the survivors to have a happy holiday season. You can’t imagine the feeling you get from seeing the faces of both the spouse (man or woman) and children when we did this. It was so heartwarming and special.

I called our local fire department because I had a kitten stick up a tree and he was there all night and all the next day and nobody would come they said that they never seen it did get in the tree before so I'll come down on his own I called everybody nobody would come or they wouldn't return my call finally I called the local zoo that we just so happened to have in town and the two people that were working at the zoo they came out and they got up that tree within the matter of minutes and had my cat down and I am so so thankful for them. so when the fire department had a fundraiser for more money after our taxes went up 16%, well I didn't pay it, I threw it in the garbage.🤔
