Exactly what I did when all the women of my family got together. My grandmother, Me, My daughter and her daughter. My mother had passed away when I was a teenager. I held up a beautiful large picture of my mother , and we got 4 generations in one picture. In Hind site , I wish I would have held up the picture of my great grandmother that I had. That would have been 5 Generations. Even though two of them were deceased , it was a chain of the women of the family. Irreplaceable.
I understand the father wanting the love of his life in the picture regardless she is there or not. When I was 14 in 1974, I met a man almost 5 yrs older than I. We got married when I was 17. Here we are 48 1/2 yes later, we are still happily married. Yes we have our spats, but its over in 15 - 20 mins later. I dont know what I would do without him. He keeps me grounded. I love that 70 yr old man. I'll be 66 in 9 days. He is the love of my life.
