We built forts like that when we were Kids . My Brother and I and neighbor kids . We camped out all Summer long . Over 50 years ago .
that's some kool as shit right there! but I hope they got a weapon out there it looks scary 😨
I'm 75 and can remember building a fort with my two you younger brothers. Thank you for waking that beautiful memory in my mind😃
I'm an old lady of 73 years old and I would love a fort like that to escape to sometimes.
Natural survivorist and frontiersmen. it makes me happy to know that it's still in our young.
No cell phones no internet. Life was simpler and kids had fun. Grew mentally, learned life skills. Now, too much has been forgotten.
Just like the 60's , 70's and 80's .
Dear Everyone, your comments are so awesome and so so true. I loved reading them, and the wonderful memories you all shared?? PRICELESS 💕💕💕💕 THIS is what posting should be. Thank you!
I grew up in the big city but we could still make awesome forts and stuff. A refrigerator box was a score!!! 🥰🥰🥰
When I was a kid, we used to dig giant deep holes and then cover them with wood you could go down inside them. We had a two chamber one one time.
No phones=healthy development.
I bet that they got the idea from their phones and watched a tutorial video to learn how to build it though..
Wow, a bunch of us oldies here. Way to go.
Nice job boys! We built stuff like that all the time as kids in the 80s and my kid and his buddies are building one right now behind the house. More kids need to get back to the basics and use their brains and not phones to have fun again.
Using their imagination. Something people don't have today
Yes. just like in the olden days. Imagination, and ingenuity. 👍👍👍
I loved when I was a kid. Soon as I got up and ate I was out the door. Riding my bike playing in the woods. Getting in trouble. Never even cared about a phone call
Young people today are missing out on so much
Wait’ll the homeless guy shows up.
That’s an awesome fort👍🏼
thats the way you learn life's lessons
Well, who did the video? lol
Fun times. We used to build forts on railroad by our house out of old railroad ties. Best times ever. We would rub elderberries on our faces and play cowboys and Indians. And swim in creek along side of the tracks.
My friend and I kinda do this type of thing! We make a camp along the river every summer that we have to kayak to. He builds a fire pit and we put up our tent and train the canopy to grow over and not into our camp. We have a bathroom we build away from camp, a kitchen for food prep, a pantry for food storage, a beach to park our kayaks, etc. It's not a fort, but it's somewhat similar. We are both children of the 70's at 55, and we know the joys of not being tethered to technology! We spend our weekends all summer out at our 'home' exploring up and down the river finding new areas, rock hounding everywhere we go, and we don't take it down until the weather gets to be too cold in the evenings. It's incredible and amazing to have that freedom after a week of technology and negativity being forced at us through so many outlets!
man I sure do miss doing that stuff down by the river with my friends..seems so long ago.
looking pretty good, gentlemen! I'd say you men are survivors for sure!!
you're absolutely right 👍. my grands are outside more than inside. no matter the weather 🥰. they're always building forts 😍. they'd rather eat outside & it makes me so happy 🥰☺️.
That is so cool. I remember that back in the day. Life was simpler back then.
The good ole days, that’s what is wrong now a days.
we used to do the same thing, but would up cycle left over materials from new house builds, out the dumpster. before you know it we had shingles in the roof, a window a door and a rope swing.
little men put some work into that
yes, it sure does bring back memories, 69 now, wish I could go back in time
Like being a kid in the 80s
Built forts my whole life and built a tree house for my kids to get them off the computer and get them outside catching frogs camp fires, just old school wholesome stuff these kids and parents today no nothing about
I'm 58 years old and that brings back memories of growing up
We built underground forts, tree forts and sometimes igloos in the winter if the snow was great, just so we could be out of the house. Times sure was different in the 60's and 70's growing up. Nowadays kids hardly ever get outside to do things on their own and actually are missing out on the best things growing up.
It brings back memories. Good for those boys.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hell yeah, brings back great memories! We used to ride our mini bikes to our fort in the woods! Great times! 👍👍
We used to do that as kids!
love it!! that was me growing up!
awesome I love this way to go guys 😘
Sometimes I think it would be better to go back to some of the old ways... Life was way better and the kids nowadays really miss out on so much because of the Internet, phones.. etc.. I grew up playing outside in the country and I love my memories..
That’s awesome cause we used to build for kids underground freeze on the ground and just like that fire trying to keep warm
love it. Engineers and architects 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾🫶🏾
That is awesome!!!
You guys did a great job. It’s nice to see kids playing and doing normal shit.
Ours were high up and magnificent, this is pathetic
These young men must've somehow slipped through the GEN X portal! 😅
Get those kids a few camo tarps in exchange for lawn work. When it rains. Help em out a little.
exactly what we did as kids was so much fun and you learn alot
this is fucking awesome good for these kids
yes.. all that drying wood and grass held so strongly above an open flame.. i dont want my kids on their phones either
The good old days. Before liberal wackos screwed up people's heads.
I'm 64
it is good to see boys doing that like we did when I was boy
yep, thats what we did . miss those days. good memories
this is great that's what I did when I was a kid I had about seven forts all through our woods in our backyard but then again we didn't have cell phone so there wasn't anything else for us to do LMFAO but still the times today the kids should be outside using their imagination instead of being on the phone
Reminds me as a kid I loved building forts and club houses ✌️💯
We would use our imagination to have fun and build forts back in the 50's. We never had an abundance of toys, but we learned how to create all of the fun we had. It kept us out of trouble too. Those were the good ole days!
They did a great job!
good work guys hope you enjoy it
the good ole days
We built forts indoors and outdoors four days, up and got to sleep in them. And be proud of it... In my day there was no internet gaming or cell phones, and we were old school... And we were smart because the outdoor forts that we built and mom and dad used to let us camp out in them, we would get up in the middle of the night Let's just sneak out into the neighborhoods, and egghouse's toilet paper houses. And have all kinds of good fun!¡! An art that is unfortunately lost in these generations
I did that when I was a kid. every kid should. awesome job!
Great times
