That's not the solar plexus.

it's actually a group point of nerves. they come down the neck and up the shoulder area and meet above the chest. when the arms r pinned behind your back like that it actually causes them to push near the surface and they hit u with the heal of their palm where the bone protudes at the base of the hand and it hurts worse than u think when the muscles r pulled tense. it also causes I believe it's a tendon, or ligament, some kind of connective tissue raises up to the surface and tenses and to get hit at that point with the arms back sends a massive wave of pain up your neck and all the way down to your waist and when your uninitiated to this pain it can cause temporary uncomfortable muscle failure. this teaches pain tolerance and pain expectance and acceptance. special forces, rangers and seals for sure receive this kind of training. I was told by some Marines in certain MOSs that they also partook in advanced hand to hand combatives and pain recognition training

bs.. That word salad is worse than some politicians. Please name one particular structure involved. Actually the nerves that come out of the neck go down behind the collarbone behind the first rib underneath the shoulder and down the arm called the brachial plexus. The only nerves in the front of the chest are the ones going to the major muscles like the pectoralis. Having your arms pinned back but actually move those nerves further away from where that punch was landed. If anything, it was a heart punch. A 40 lb punch to the heart Will cause it to skip a beat. It looks like theater to me.

Nowhere near the solar plexus...he'd be gasping for breath if the hit was aimed right.
