My mama told me about once she was a little girl at a wake for a man who died. They had embalmed him, but they had to break him out of rigor mortis. So they bent him back at the waist, and carried on. Next day at the wake, those muscles hitched up and he sat straight up in the casket. Two people fainted, one lady died from a heart attack. When the men tried to lay him back down, he let out an enormous moan, as if he was in pain. The men dropped him and ran. The undertaker said there was air trapped in the vocal cords that escaped when they pulled him down at the waist. Mama said those running men never came back!!

When I was working in the Emergency Room a man had passed. Coroner came about 4 hrs later . Just before they came I had to go into the room to get something and as I was walking in that man did the same thing in the video. I yelled OH HELL NO...The dead ain't coming for me today and ran straight out the room and over the counter and under the desk. The looks i got were priceless. Wish someone had caught that on camera. I probally would have won the 10,000 bucks on Americas funniest home videos!!

yes bodies can move amd still have breath coming out, my dad passed amd I fell on him, his last breath as the out went right at my face I was shaking him to wake up, the police had to grab me off of him, I wouldn't let go, I miss my dad so much, before he passed in had just loss two babies within two years from lupus and a baby day before delivery after my dad , I miss them so much it still breaks my heart, GOD PLEASE hug my babies in Heaven and give my dad a hug , thank you for letting my dad visit me in my dreams to hug me back, Jesus help anyone suffering Amem

As a trained medical professional sometimes the body’s last repulsive force can cause them to sit up straight it’s a normal response but kinda scary sometimes 😆😆😆😆😆😆

If my dead husband had raised up while I was cleaning him up before he went to the funeral home I would have freaked out too 😵‍💫probably worse than this

Corpses can, in fact sit up. the morgue can be a noisy place as bodies flop around. There is no damn way I could work in a place like that. even knowing that it can happen and it's a natural occurrence. F that!!!

Not dead who ever it was didn't have a toe tag on. And by the time they are this far they have to have a toe tag on them for identification
