I was Foodshopping today and I had an older lady approach me to ask me if I could give her a ride home. I said yes and took her home. Friday I was at the gas station/Wawa. There was a man there that definitely was not prepared for the Cold weather. I Told him to wait for a little while that I would be back with some things for him. I gave him a sleeping bag, a coat, a thermal shirt and pants, gloves and a hat. I have more than enough for my family.

One night shortly after we moved into our home, an elderly lady came to our door upset. She was lost and drove up on our lawn by our Barn shed thinking it was a house. I called the police for help. Turns out she had just moved into a senior citizen’s complex and when it got dark, she forgot where to go. The police put her in their car and another drove her car back for her. She was so scared but so grateful for the help. It could happen to anyone..

I equate everything back to being a baby. you come here in diapers and you go out in diapers. it's against the law to leave a baby or children. it should be illegal to leave the elderly alone. I don't know who would take responsibility if there is no family left.

After all comments no one has addressed the nursing home facility that they bothered to call police that she was lost to begin with ? That's a bad Card facility !!I'm sure the police told them off for not missing her ? 😲😲🤔 Believe me that's why some people need to be taken care of their parents ,if they have family left ? Definitely true when you become elderly your family doesn't even want to take a call from you or help you out and that's sad 🙏🏻🙏🏻💖Yes they golden years really suck ??I know and it's true !!💯❤️🙏🏻💖

by the time my mother passed away she didn't know me as her child she thought I was her sister who had passed before her it was very heartbreaking for me to deal with my mother and now here I am 67 years old that's a verge of memory loss short-term right now I'm just going with the flow of it but it is frustrating

My youngest daughter's mother-in-law had a walker like that. She was at the place where they do dialysis, waiting in line to sign in. She stood so long she lost her balance & fell headfirst over the walker. She ended up in the hospital, never got to go home, she passed away from her injuries. She was diabetic.

the other day I was heading to a local shopping outlet here in my city.. Christmas 🎄 is almost here...so as I approach a 4 way stop 🛑 4 cars were there but there were only 2 crosswalks for all pedestrians🚸 because there are beautiful 3 story apartments right across the shopping mall. It was my turn to proceed when I noticed a very much older lady using a walker to apparently cross the street and head towards the park "the collection" also has, so what do I do, I jump out of my car, put on my emergency lights and I helped this beautiful older lady maybe in her 80's cross the street. I asked her if she was ok, safe, does anyone know she was out alone etc....she was older but she was strong 💪 beautiful and knew where she was so I let go of the fear that maybe she was out there behind dementia or Alzheimer's. She was just on her daily walk to kick in her cardio. All I ever think when I help anyone is like "that's someone's mom, grandma 🙏

We were driving home after 9 one night and saw an older lady walking down the street towards our house, it was dark, she looked confused! So we got our dog real quick to walk her and not scare the lady! We got her to our house to sit for a bit! She had some dementia going on and missed her bus about a mile away! Called the cops and they drove her back to her senior/assisted living residence! That's why u call the police! It was sad:( But she was ok!

Rather than donate winter clothing to a "second-hand" store, I went to where the shelter was and donated it to people there.

Senior Citizen Mobile Home Park. You will see situations like this in a senior mobile home park. I would go outside and ask if he or she needs help. I would do that. I hope someone would do the same for my mom and dad.

That person needed help. I have tears just watching that scene. I just see an elderly human being alone and needing someone to care; and someone to help. That place should not be outside at that time of night. Something was clearly wrong. Lets be proactive and help our elderly when we see something like this and not just video for social media to get laughs. Help the person. It is so sad when you reach an advanced age and you have no one. You are the last of a family and are living on limited income.

Congratulations to the many on this thread that have led with their hearts rather than fear or disdain. We all need to be responsive to our children and elderly, our vulnerable population... They have not learned or have forgotten that our society is currently divided… by race, ethnicity, religion, politics, etc. They just need to be cared for when they need help. Keep up the good work… there is hope for us yet!

I was driving home from work one night about 11 pm , going through an industrial area of closed businesses and ugly buildings and I. The gravel is an occupied wheelchair. I pull over and an old guy in a thin tweed coat just there. I get out my car ask why hes out there and he tells me he’s waiting on the bus to go to the race track. Long story short, I pushed him to a facility about 1/2 mile up the road and it was locked anyway, the place didn’t even know this guy was out. AllThe facilities were shut down after I notified the parent company and were under investigation- dead people were found hidden in storage closets and other areas of one facility.

thanks to your president there are working poor homeless families on the streets with children living out of tents and cars in our major cities and more are on the way. why would he take thousands of employed people off their jobs only to create more poverty what was he thinking. My grandmother use to say people will follow a crazy person to the end of the world ..and here we are

An old lady knocked on my door in San Francisco saying she was lost. It was night. I found out the name of the retirement home she was staying, called an Uber to take her home. I called the home and gave them hell for not having enough supervision.

Been taking care of my eighty six year old neighbor for fourteen years. I have put compression stockings on that woman's legs every day for 3 years. And the other night, my old man and I went out to dinner and we got home around eight o'clock and I drove over to my mother's to pick up my kid and the upon returning there were three police cars in front of my neighbor's house. So of course I was like, oh my god, is she okay? What happened? she had called the police that someone had broken into her house, and she was hiding in her bathroom, and she was SURE that it was me.And she was scared. WHAT??!! i said, oh my god, something is wrong with her.I said, let me in.So I can show her that it's me and talk to her.And they refused, they said, no, you will not have contact with her anymore. Then they left, no ambulance, didn't go in and check sugar. So I'm not allowed over there, I'm pretty sure she had a stroke or her blood sugar did something crazy cause she's diabetic. and now?

We were hosting at a park on the coast in Oregon. It was stormy and cold out and part of the park was flooded. It was around midnight and we got a knock on our door. An elderly woman was standing there wet and shivering. She left the RV without her husband knowing to use the park restroom because she was afraid she would wake her husband. When she came out she didn’t remember where they were parked and went the wrong way. We got her warmed up then my husband drove her around and found the RV. I hate to think what could have happened if she hadn’t knocked at our door.
