the individual mandate is exactly like insurance on your car. allowing people, especially young healthy people to not have health insurance is why it's so expensive. and many are finding out the hard way how much a broken leg or arm costs or what a hospital stay for pneumonia costs leaving them in perpetual debt.

Without gov subsidies the rest of us will pick up the tab, again. Those in need of medical attention will go to the emergency room for care and the rest of us will pay higher medical premiums to cover those “free hospital visits.” I for one would rather my tax money pay to help people than kill them by building up military forces or wars on drugs or lawyer fees for all the frivolous court cases we find in politics this decade.

We paid less for insurance with the affordable care act. My insurance was 400 a pay period dropped to 200. I hope it doesn't go back up.
