Well as an ex marine the main thing I can tell you all is that with any gun the last mishap you need while firing is for the “thing” to come out😭 the “thing” is very important for the weapons cycle of operations to complete beginning to end. With out a “thing” the only job your weapon is good for is scaring you and jumping out of your hands like so

You really want to know. 2nd round was set off while being loaded into the chamber. This is caused by a reload with the primer set to high or a broken firing pin. It also appeared that the magazine was not locked.

The mag wasn’t fully seated, so after the first round was fired the compression kicked it out of the mag well.

Bullet Set Back. Racked the same round in over and over. The projectile snugged in to the casing too far and created a small bomb. PROBABLY IMO

It appears the magazine wasn't properly seated in the well. The discharge force it out of the magazine well and scared the shit out of him.

Well this is why people have to pay attention to the sound of a round being fired prior to pulling the damn trigger again. Anyone who’s had a squib happen to them knows.
Slide didn’t move, flash came out of the ejection port, so I’m guessing a bullet is lodged in the barrel and boom it backfired or you used a hot load
