My guess is the Pin hit the bullet lined up in chamber and the explosion hit bullet underneath that was loaded incorrectly in a downward facing position.
That gun don’t have any markings on it. It looks like it might’ve been 3-D printed. Looks like a piece of junk. That’s what happened.

It’s the toggle link pin, or idiot pin it wasn’t seated fully through the under barrel toggle when the slide moved to the rear the force on the un seated pin ejected it out the side. Some times they just lock the slide up sometimes this.
Well as an ex marine the main thing I can tell you all is that with any gun the last mishap you need while firing is for the “thing” to come out😭 the “thing” is very important for the weapons cycle of operations to complete beginning to end. With out a “thing” the only job your weapon is good for is scaring you and jumping out of your hands like so

idk all that but I think he used a refilled bullet and it was remade with to much gunpowder and when he shot it just blew up I've seen this happen irl with refilled bullets
Bullet Set Back. Racked the same round in over and over. The projectile snugged in to the casing too far and created a small bomb. PROBABLY IMO

My guess is +P ammo and also didn’t have the mag in. ++ The guy should not even be touching a gun when he doesn’t know enough to clear the firearm before swinging it around and looking at it after something like that happens ! He needs some training since he doesn’t have common sense .

that's called a blow out. the 1911 here does not have a fully supported chamber. the rear of the bullet casing is exposed at the feed ramp. chamber a round remove the mag and take a look if you can see past the case ha ead rim it not a fully supported chamber. hot ammo can blow out that exposed part down through the mag well. which is what you see here. I had a new fnh .45 shot 3, 400 rounds through it. and as this man is using s&b ammo so was I. when I also experienced a blow out. it destroyed the gun and nearly blow my fingers off. my safety glasses saved my eyes. had lots of brass pieces stuck in my face, arms and hands. what I found was the feed ramp was out of spec. leaving to much exposed case. fnh sent me a brand new replacement. could clearly tell the difference. I always use safety glasses and shooting gloves now. only takes one bad round to change your life. be safe
