Mohammad’s mother was pagan, he was raised in Arabia and was surrounded by Gnostic Jews and early Christianity. If you look at Islam what Mohammad did was pulled elements from pagans (walking in the circle, kissing the wall, etc..) gnostic jews and Christians and rolled it into a “new” religion where he was the prophet. He couldn’t read or write and the man who wrote down what he said that it wasn’t truth. The first thing he did after declaring himself the prophet and getting followers was wipe out the city his mother was banished from because she was pagan.
