This triggered a memory of an incident in my past. Back in 1980 I lived in an area where homes set on 1/2+ acre(s) land and set way back off the road. One night I left my house running barefoot. I was running from my drunk abusive husband. He had gone into the bedroom to get a gun. I ran to a neighbors house a couple of houses from mine. I didn't know them. I banged on their door and pleaded, "please help me". They were an elderly Caucasian couple. I was a 27 yr old African American female. They opened their door and I whispered, "please let me in, I think my husband (also African American) may shoot me". They let me in and let me call a friend to tell her what was happening and to pick me up. They saved my life! And yes, I divorced him. Because of that compassionate Caucasian couple no one can tell me all Caucasians are evil/hateful. I'm 71 now and I live and share/preach the love of God to people of all walks of life. In Christ we are all one! One Love❤️

I once had a lady (from about 3 or 4 houses down) knock on my door at 1 am (I was up watching tv). She asked if she could come in, because she didn't want her live-in bf to find her (he was abusive). I let her in long enough to call someone. When they arrived, she left; never heard from her again. Hope she got away from him safely.

I had a woman who lived around the block from me when I was a kiddo, this is in the 90’s. She was battered and bleeding and didn’t speak like any English and we immediately let her her into our house and called the cops. Her man had been chasing her from their house and we were the first door that opened for her. I pray for her and her kids all the time.

I am regularly asked by women in my office to escort them to their car after work if they have to leave when it is dark outside during winter months. I asked several women why and they said strange men often approach them like this. I said this never happens to me and they said, it doesn’t happen to men only women. True story.

Why do white people always ask a lot of questions first instead of getting out of danger? He's beating on your window and he's just sitting there "ARE YOU ALRIGHT "🤔🤔🤔🤔

About 15 years ago, there was a lady who knocked on my motel room door at 2:30am when we were fishing, she claimed my buddy was the father of her babies and I had the kids locked under my truck cover and she could here them calling her! wtf! She finally left. In the morning at about 5:30 getting ready to get to the docks to launch the boat, she was laying under my truck rear tires with the 10 commandments in her arms preaching to my buddy about his fathering her two children?! Lol! Of course, we gave our buddy shit for this for many years! Obviously, no this lady was NOT alright! Never really got a full explanation other than she was mentally disturbed! Really? What would make anyone think that? I don’t mind helping people in need, but my buddy needs to learn he can’t keep getting away with this kind of stuff and involving his fishing buddies in his disturbing life choices! LMAO!

I'll say this if I'm stopped somewhere. And I'm driving and a woman jumps in my back seat, and she's in panic mode. And she tells me to drive. I'm driving straight to the police department because you never know what that man's intentions were, but if you have dash cam, you capture everything. His image and everything on film. So the police can have it so they can go arrest him. Because you don't know what his intentions were. He might have just saved that woman's life

My parents argued constantly but there were times where it turned violent. My mom would yell go to the neighbors and cal the police. I would grab my brother four years younger than me and go out my bedroom window to the next door neighbor. This was always late at night. 2 or 3 in the morning. Our neighbors were an Elderly couple but would always open the door at that hour and call the police. My Dad was the one who got violent. The police would come and say someone is going to have to leave which meant my mom and us. There were no domestic violence laws in the 70’s. Then the next day we went to school like nothing happened and it was never discussed. This went on for a long time. If I saw a woman running asking for help I would definitely help her after what I went through.

I used to be a hotel manager in Las Vegas. On at least one occasion, I had to secretly place a woman in a separate room, due to a possible domestic violence situation. As I recall, I comped the room.
